Tommy Stays in Touch with Sports Bond
Uploaded Monday, 30th Apr, 2018 at 09:35

IN BALLYMENA United history the Ballymena United Social Club used to be a centre and meeting place for supporters.
It has now passed into history and redevelopment, however many of its former members keep in touch with the club by being members of Sports Bond. Tommy O'Neill (A9610) was always a part of the Social Club scene and this week Tommy celebrated a £50 win. The other major winners saw Maurice Anderson with a £50 winner for Elaine Young (B4376), while up in Antrim Michael Matthews (A7434) was a £50 major winner on the agency of Alastair Shaw.

R Esler (A9914) was a £10 minor winner last week and he repeated the feat this week, his agent, Richard McClean also had a £10 winner with Darren Carey (A1432). Finally Linda McCooke (A3861), a previous winner, had a £10 win also.

No Jackpot of £800 was allocated with the numbers 2, 9, 10 and 16 so this week £850 is on offer!
Grand Sports Draw
Bobby Crossey will not forget the last time he stopped at the Ballymena United stand in the Tower Centre. To support the club Bobby bought a book of tickets (10) from Brian Thompson, one of these number 1255 was pulled out by Jason Hunter as the winning ticket. So Bobby is looking forward to seeing PSG with Neymar in action next season.
Just a few hundred yards from Bobby lives Sky Blue supporter Leslie Kinnear who won the 2nd prize of a golf 4 ball at Cairndhu Golf Club. Cairndhu has probably some of the most scenic views in Ireland.
Third prize was Jonathan Anderson of Crieff in Scotland. Jonathan, originally from Ahoghill, could not believe his luck when he was contacted. Jonathan won the tickets for the North West 200 and believe it or not he had already booked his flights and accommodation for the North West! He said he attends it every year, what a timely win for a North West fan and as a Sky Blue fan Jonathan gets over quite a few times during the season.
Sky Blue fans Michael Gillespie, Alister Robinson and Clark Jenkins are off to Down Royal, winning 4th prize. Stevie Gillanders of McBurney Transport is off to Raceview Karting winning 5th prize. Robin McClintock, Ulster Rugby Season ticket holder, can now take wife Louise and daughter on a family outing to Ravenhill as Louise has won the 6th prize of Ulster Rugby tickets!
  • 7th prize - Elizabeth Houston (0291)
  • 8th prize - James Carson (0385)
  • 9th prize - Mark O'Hara (0261)
  • 10th prize - David Montgomery (1440)
  • Thanks to all who sold tickets and a special mention to Amos Scott in Ballyclare, Philip McBurney of McBurney Transport and George Stirling and his staff at the Moby Chip in Cullybackey for all their efforts.
