Sports Bond Success Comes Back to the Town
Uploaded Sunday, 11th Mar, 2018 at 21:59

AFTER a few weeks of Sports Bond success outside Ballymena, the City of the Seven Towers made a significant return to success this week as all the major winners were Ballymena based.
In Tullymore Park Jimmy Young (A2846) was a £50 winner on Maurice Andersons agency. On the Frys Road area Brian Ward (A4296) won £50, a nice time for a win with a family wedding due, whilst up in Ballykeel Charlie Magill (A2918) was a £50 winner.

Estate agent Ian Gregg (B7855) was a £10 minor winner this week, Ian is a yearly payer. In Martinstown Michael Stewart (A0295) picked up another £10 win and the only female winner this week was Annette McKernon (A7585) of the Davy Creighton agency in Belfast.

No Jackpot allocated this week with the numbers 1, 11, 16 and 22 and so the Jackpot for this week is a healthy £500.
Gospel Goal
Just before the match on Saturday there was a dedication ceremony by members of Gospel Goal, Paul Clydesdale and Roy Graham along with club Chaplain Alastair Beattie, Chairman John Taggart and Sales and Marketing Executive Brian Thompson. Gospel Goal is a group of football loving Christians who are using the sport to undertake outreach work for their faith.

They have signage at over 7 grounds in the Irish League but the most impressive one judging by the comments on social media is at the Showgrounds. They clearly used the Ballymena supporter song "She wore a Sky Blue Ribbon" and put a spin on it, "He Wore a Crown of Thorns". The sign is receiving great interest through television as it is in a very prominent area. For further information on Gospel Goal and their activities please visit their website.
Walk of Hope
Brian Thompson would like to acknowledge and say a sincere thank you to Gospel Goal for their very generous donation to his Walk of Hope to the League Cup Final for BraveheartsNI.
