Eoin Kane leaves Ballymena United

BALLYMENA United Football Club can announce that Eoin Kane has left the club by mutual consent.
The 21 year old midfielder signed in October 2012 and made 45 appearances for the Sky Blues scoring two goals, including the winning goal against Linfield in the 2015/16 County Antrim Shield final.
Manager David Jeffrey explained the situation that Kane had been facing this season, "Eoin came and asked to be released from his contract, which Bryan McLoughlin and I reluctantly agreed after much consideration.
We can understand it, Eoin started the season with niggling injuries and once he overcame those, he then was required to attend a course on a Wednesday night related to his work, which meant he couldn't get game time with the U20's and an attempt to get into the first team became more difficult.
He is a young man who really needs to be playing at this stage of his career so we agreed to release him. In terms of attitude and application Eoin was never found wanting and he goes with our best wishes for his future career wherever that may be."
