Uploaded Sunday, 23rd Apr, 2017 at 23:08

The Ballykeel area was the hot spot for Sports Bond winners this week with two major winners and a minor winner on the agency of Brett Thompson.
The first major winner was Pat Kernohan (A0721) in Inchkeith Road, around the corner in Arran Avenue Adie McCaughey (A9528) was also a £50 winner. Indeed this was the second major win for Adie in a year. Across the road Keith Bruce (A6556) in Knockeen was a £10 minor winner. It was quite a week for Brett as he also became a father for the first time when wife Deborah presented him with a baby boy, Leo, on Thursday morning.

Elsewhere in Ballee agent David Brown's daughter Jessica Jane was a £50 winner. This was on the same day as dad David was one of the Sports Bond agents who sponsored the game against Cliftonville!!

In Randalstown the new agency of Philip Millar had a third £10 winner with Ingrid Campbell (A3895), again Ingrid was only a member for a couple of weeks. The other £10 winner was John Esler (A4510), only a few weeks since he was a £50 winner.

Jackpot numbers of 12, 19, 21 and 22 saw no Jackpot won a week after Jacqui Smith was a £1000 winner.
First Score
First Score is back at Coleraine on Saturday, could Richard Elliott, Derek Russell or Sammy Bonnes match Tommy Cavan and have a third win, tickets £1.
Agents News
We would like to mention Trevor Armstrong who is crossing the River Lagan on a Zip Wire for charity. Also to Jim Moore, who ran the London marathon on Sunday.
Sky Blue Leo
Quite a week for Sales and Marketing Executive Brian Thompson, two back to back wins on matches which had great sponsors, a very satisfactory Grand Sports Draw and on Thursday morning he became a grand dad for the first time when Leo Charles Brian Thompson was born to son Brett and daughter in law Deborah. Leo's first picture on social media saw him bedecked in a sky blue colour hat and baby grow!! Well what else could a future sky blue fan appear in.
Grand Sports Draw
A long distance lorry driver who knows the road to Paris no doubt, will be flying to Paris to see PSG at the Parc des Princes in the early 2017/18 season. John Fullerton (0742), a neighbour of Sports Bond agent and seller Tommy Matthews, was the winner of the 2017 Grand Sports Draw first prize sponsored by Jonathan Calderwood, Head Groundsman at PSG and drawn out by his brother in law Jason Hunter of Ballymena Protection Centre.
Second prize was won by Philip Whiteside (0816) of Tobermore Concrete products who were recently match sponsors. It was drawn by Scott McGarry, owner of Scott McGarry Health and Fitness who sponsored this three month prize at his gym worth £500.

What a draw for Joe Hayes (0521) who won the Christmas draw in 2015, Norman McBurney drew him the third prize of a four ball at Cairndhu. The fourth prize, drawn by Chairman John Taggart, saw Joan Hayes, Joe's wife, win the trip to the North West 200.
There were 3 fifth prize winners of the tickets to Down Royal, 3 x 2. They were John Murray (1591), Ann McConnell and Fionn McNulty (0365). Sixth prize for Ryan Kenny (0136) who is off to Raceview Raceway.

  • Promoter Brian Thompson believes this to be our best ever Sports Draw and reflects the team's success at getting a top 6 place. However, he was quick to point out without our fantastic sellers and supporters this would never have been the success it was. Thanks to all the sponsors also and to the winners, enjoy your prizes. This is a very unique draw by Sports Bond but you can be a weekly member, ring 07831 803970.
