Seven Towers Still Tops on Sports Bond
Uploaded Sunday, 2nd Apr, 2017 at 21:20

THE Seven Towers Sports Bond agency is one of the oldest on Sports Bond. They are enjoying a winning run of late and this week saw Uel Allen (A0624) become a major £50 winner.
Uel has been a multiple winner on Sports Bond and has been enjoying success on many Ballymena promotions over the years. The other £50 major winners were Margaret Spiers (B0225) and John Esler (A1797). John is no stranger to the Showgrounds as he is often on security at the Showgrounds and other venues on match days, both are members on P Thompson;s agency.

A first win for Margaret Downey, our latest agent who is based in Portglenone, however her winning £10 minor prize is a name familiar to Sports Bond, Alan McCallion (A4068). The McCallions lived on Upper Princes Street for many years before recently moving back to Portglenone from where the family home was. Darren Walker (B2113) was a £10 winner on Maurice Anderson's agency, while Lyndsey Russell (A6830) was a family winner on the agency of Vicki Russell.

This week sees the last opportunity to win a Jackpot of £950 as the numbers 4, 12, 22 and 28 were not allocated. If not won this week it will have to be won at £1000 next week.
New Agent
As mentioned Margaret Downey is our new agent in Portglenone. She regularly attends Ballymena United matches and already has a growing agency. Margaret works at the Antrim Area Hospital and we look forward to seeing some members from there.
Joe Smallman
Last week in Randalstown whilst canvassing for new members for Sports Bond we had Doreen Wylie join up. Doreen recounted a fantastic story that she is the daughter of Joe Smallman who played for Ballymena in the 1930's. Joe, a left back, came originally from Barnsley in Yorkshire and married and settled in the area. Both he and his wife were long time employees at Gallahers. It was a great pleasure to meet Doreen and we hope she is a winner on Sports Bond. Can any of our senior supporters remember Joe Smallman? We would love to hear more about Joe.
First Score
Lewis Cahoon, who bought a card from Alan Armstrong, was the winner of our NI v Norway First Score. His winning time was 2 minutes and it was in the second minute that Jamie Ward scored.

The fantastic four Tommy, Richard, Derek and Sammy will all have a go at Mourneview on Saturday to try to win for the third time this season and win a season ticket for 2017/18.
