Alan Blayney released by Ballymena United

Ballymena United can announce that Alan Blayney has left the club by mutual consent.
The goalkeeper, who joined from Glenavon in 2015, having previously played during the 2008/09 season, made 11 appearances this season but was aware that his opportunities would be limited following the arrival of Timothy Allen.
Manager David Jeffrey commented, "last evening we agreed that Alan would be made available for a free transfer, but with the window closing soon it may be difficult for him to get sorted with another club in a short space of time. To help him have the time and space to make a correct decision for his future, we have mutually agreed to cancel his contract now, which allows him the opportunity to sign for another club even when the window has closed.
We would wish Alan all the best in the next step of his career, and thank him for his time and contribution at Ballymena United."
