Kells agents are Hot on Sports Bond
Uploaded Sunday, 1st Jan, 2017 at 22:20

IN the Christmas week Sports Bond draw Kells based agents almost made a clean sweep of the prizes.
Alastair Shaw was the agent of the week with a double major success. Most of Alastair's agency are in the Antrim area so this will be a boost to his agency. His first £50 winner was Joe Mairs (A7729 Farmhill) and his second was Daniel Mulholland (A6276). The third major success was on the agency of Andrew Boyd in Kells with Lily Frew (A5595) being the lady winner.

Even in the £10 minor section there was success for a Kells agent with Graham McCartney's agency having a £10 win with Claire Thompson. In Broughshane agent Richard McClean had a £10 minor win with R Esler (A4226) while in Gracehill Maurice Anderson had a £10 win with wife Pamela Anderson (A9970).

No Jackpot was allocated with the numbers 2, 4, 5 and 22 and so the Jackpot continues to rise.
Tommy on the Sports Bond Map
Lately after 15 years we have made a Sports Bond discovery, agent Tommy Matthews is "across the burn" as he says. This meant we hadn't Tommy's postal address as it should be, the postal address should be Ballyclare not Glenwherry, see these things are important to country folk. However Tommy (B9991) is smiling now as he was a £50 major winner on his own agency. Billy Panter (A7546) is a member on two agencies and this week won on the agency of Maurice Anderson. Another former major winner is Gordon Blair (A8841), this week Gordon was a £50 winner again on the agency of P Thompson.

Tom Mullan (A1127) gave the Candy Corner in Ballykeel their first £10 win. Alastair Shaw had a £10 with Mark Gordon (A6489) and David Brown had a £10 winner with Samuel Magill Snr (A0106).

No Jackpot was allocated with the numbers 3, 4, 9 and 12 and so stands at £300 for the first week of 2017.
First Score
Derek Russell, has been a lifetime supporter of Ballymena and has just Michelin after 38 years of service. Derek is off on holiday soon and will have a Euro top up after winning the First Score at the Bangor Fuels Arena on Saturday. Derek was the holder of a 9 minute winning card and wins £30, another win for Social Club Supporters.
Walk of Hope
Brian Thompson undertook his 7th Walk of Hope last week to Bangor Fuels Arena. On the final stage on Saturday he was joined by Cyril Patton from Antrim, a Sky Blue fan. Brian was delighted to have Cyril along and was also delighted to have Sky Blue fans Lynne Campbell and daughter Nicole to assist with the collection at the ground on behalf of Bravehearts. Brian has now undertaken 7 Walks of Hope in 2016. His plans for 2017 are on hold as he is suffering from an Achilles tendon problem, however his plan for 2017 will become clear in a few weeks.
